Oceanalysis Ltd was started by Dr Gus Jeans in January 2012, to establish his new role as a truly independent metocean consultant. It serves all users of metocean data, with particular focus on offshore oil, gas and renewables. The range of services is outlined via the links on the left.

Oceanalysis was the next step after a successful career with Fugro GEOS Ltd spanning 15 years. Gus held numerous roles in the measurement and consultancy divisions of the company and has considerable experience with metocean data. He progressed to lead the large UK team responsible for delivery of measured data integrity and desk study reports. He has personally developed design and operating criteria for many offshore engineering projects worldwide.

Gus previously spent 5 years in academic and semi-commercial oceanography at the University of Wales, Bangor. While there, he developed his keen interest in solitons and other non-linear internal waves. He successfully coupled this research with his commercial experience, through initiation of the Worldwide Internal Soliton Criteria (WISC) Joint Industry Project.

Gus is a Chartered Scientist, Chartered Marine Scientist and a Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST).

Oceanalysis is a registered trade mark and the new word in metocean data integrity and analysis.
